ABOUT EPSCoR/IDeA
The Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) and Institutional Development Award (IDeA) play a vital role in advancing scientific discovery, workforce development, and research capacity across Hawai‘i. The Hawai‘i EPSCoR/IDeA Office at the University of Hawai‘i (UH) is a central resource for grant support, research development, and funding opportunities. Through targeted initiatives, the office helps faculty expand their research efforts and enhance UH’s impact and visibility on the national stage. It also strengthens grant competitiveness by providing funding searches, interdisciplinary team support, seed funding, proposal development, and professional growth—broadening research opportunities throughout the state.
