A. The Summary/Submit screen provides a series of panels of the proposal’s data targeted for the reviewer/approver. Proposal preparers can review the summary for completion prior to using the Submit for Review button as well as using the View Route Log button to preview the approval routing prior to submission.
B. Proposal Action buttons:
- Submit for Review: Puts the proposal into approval routing.
- Ad Hoc Recipients: Allows you to add additional approvers to review your proposal.
- View Route Log: Allows you to see the routing status of the proposal. The routing is separated into Actions Taken, Pending Actions, and Future Actions.
- Cancel Proposal: This will mark the proposal as cancelled and not allow you to submit it. Do not use this function if you ever plan on submitting the proposal.
- Recall: Allows you to bring the proposal out of routing so you can edit it.
Submit For Review:
Click the Submit for Review button to get the proposal routing in the approval workflow. The Data Validation tool will run and present any errors or warnings that need to be fixed prior to routing.
- If there are any errors, the validation window will present with the list of issues that must be addressed.
- The proposal cannot be submitted until the errors are resolved.
- If there are any warnings, the validation window will present with the list of warnings.
- The proposal may be submitted with warnings. Click the Submit With Warnings button in the validation window to or close the validation window to address the warnings.

A. To Fix an Error or Warning, click the Fix It button to be sent to the page with the issue.
After you have fixed the issue, click Save and open the Data Validation tool to work through the issues.
Once all Data Validations have been satisfied, you can click the Submit for Review button to submit the proposal to route.
- If you still have warning, you will get the Data Validation window but you can still submit using the Submit with Warnings button.
